Are you the type of Artist that is exploring different mediums, projects, or inspiration. At times jumping from one creative inspiration to another. Then you will definitely need to organize your world to be productive without stress. Now I did not say it had to be magazine perfect, this is reality we are talking about and in most cases Artist's have a set budget to work with when buying supplies.

Any storage unit bins with wheels are a necessity as they have flat tops to work off of when needed and are easily moved out of the way or stored under tables. I took over a closet - donated the clothes I wasn't wearing- and utilized as much space as possible without jamming it full. The plastic crates are great to use since they can be moved or removed depending on your needs. The space under the bottom shelf fits tote bags set up and ready to go with watercolor, color pencil, or acrylic paints.

Brightly Colored roller bins bring life to the studio, the clear bins allow you to see quickly what is inside, and the closet can be arranged and rearranged as your purchases change. I use a two step up closet ladder to access the top shelf. It folds up nicely for storage.

Old microwave carts from garage or estate sales work great too. Everyone's space for creating is unique and having everything on wheels can allow you to optimize your space.

A magnetic white board hung on the wall is useful for deadline dates, ideas, and posting sketches or reference material for your artwork.

Buying sources for organizing: Department Stores like Walmart have great deals during back to school season. Garage or Estate Sales. Let family and friends know you're looking-they may have items they thinking about throwing out would love to help you out.
